Pre-Adventure Tummy Soothing Papaya and Mango Smoothie

Like many people these days, I have my own allergies and food sensitivities that can reek havoc on my digestive tract. Over the years, I have found that avoiding certain foods help, but what can I say, I love cheese which doesn’t love me back. I came up with this soothing recipes in an attempt to ween myself off of over-the-counter meds. I drink healing papya smoothie in the morning before work, but it could work before day hikes or long runs to help ease the pain as well. Give it a whirl next time you’ve had a few cheats in your diet and see if it works for you!

1 c coconut milk
1/2 c coconut water
1 c fresh papaya
1/2 c frozen mango
1/2 banana
1/2 lime, juiced
1 inch ginger
1 tsp chia seeds
Handful of baby spinach (optional)

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Enjoy.

Serves 1
