Strapped for ideas? What could be easier than letting everyone make their own combos in foil packs and letting them cook over the open fire? This makes everyone feel more involved in their food packs and makes for a fun dinner around the camp. Here are some ingredient categories, pick one or a few from each, toss them into the pack and see what happens!

PRODUCE
- Mini red potatoes
- Mini blue potatoes
- Small fingerling potatoes
- Green peppers chopped into chunks
- Orange peppers chopped into chunks
- Red peppers cut into chunks
- Onions cut into chunks
- Zucchini cut into chunks
- Summer squash cut into chunks
- Garlic cloves whole
- Asparagus cut in half
- Mushrooms left whole

MEATS
- Polish kielbasa diced into coins
- Italian sausages cut into chunks
- Hot dogs (good quality) cut into coins
- Thick sliced bacon cut into chunks
- Jumbo shrimp
- Chicken breast cut into chunks

SPICES
- Salt
- Pepper
- Old Bay
- Red pepper flakes

COOKING FATS
- Avocado oil
- Olive oil
- Butter

Toss all your ingredients into your sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. These work great on the racks above fire pits, or put over red hot coals and flipped frequently so they don't burn up. I would check them every fifteen minutes. Times may vary considering what you put inside. Potatoes will obviously take longer to steam than a pack filled with veggies. I would recommend all packs contain at least some veggies since they are good for steaming due to the water content.
