The classic lunch for me to break up the day is a burger. It can be a veggie burger, bison burger or a traditional burger, but I find what makes it worthwhile is experimenting with flavors of toppings.

1 lb ground bison
1 pack of onion soup mix (I use Lipton)
1 onion chopped into long strings
4 tbsp fresh mustard
Butter for toasting buns
4 sesame buns
Lettuce
1/4 cup BBQ sauce of your choosing

At home, combine your ground vision gently with the onion soup mix, form four patties and store away in tupperware until you're at your lunch spot. Store all the ingredients in the cooler until you're ready to eat. This is my favorite recipe to enjoy with a view. At a park with a view that has close parking to a prime picnic table. Grab your patties and cook them thoroughly with your camp stove, making sure to make a thumbprint indent in the center so that they don't cook up into balls, but flat burgers. Set them aside to cool. Saute your onions until they are soft and add the mustard into them tossing to coat and warm. Grill the interior of your buns with the butter and start laying on the rest. It's worth the effort to enjoy the view with this in hand.
