Trail Snacks: The Best Cocoa Dusted Nuts

1 cup natural almonds
3 tablespoons splenda
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 teaspoon red chili cayenne pepper (less for lower heat)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg white

Heat the oven to 250 degrees F.

Whisk the egg white in a bowl until frothy. Stir in the nuts and coat completely.

In another bowl mix the dry ingredients. Mix the almonds into the dry ingredients post egg and coat them completely.

Transfer the nuts to a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 45 minutes.
