Warming Lemon Ginger Winter Camp Brew

This is a pretty easy recipe and also a fast way to get in those extra ounces of water to hydrate yourself during the cold dry winter months especially at winter camps. I usually end every evening with this and it tastes even better than it might sound. It only has a few ingredients and is just as easy to make at camp as it is at home. If you’re not on the dry and. want to really kick this up, you can always add a shot of whiskey. If you’re looking for similar winter brews, check out our Spiced and Spiked Hot Cider which will certainly warm you up.

6 oz filtered water
1 tbsp Manuka honey (can sub any honey)
2 thin lemon slices
1 inch peeled fresh ginger, sliced

Boil the water and mix ingredients into your mug. Let it sit for a few minutes to seep before drinking. I like to use my spoon to continually smash the lemons and ginger to add more flavor while I am sipping it. I also just keep adding hot water through the evening.
